What Is Net Neutrality?

So how much will I have to pay for Twitter?!??!

Hopefully nothing..
The definition of Net Neutrality is the idea, principle, or requirement that Internet service providers should or must treat all Internet data as the same regardless of its kind, source, or destination.

So what does all of this mean? Yesterday the FCC (Federal Communications Commission)  voted to repeal the rules the Obama Administration administrated in efforts to kept the internet open and free for everyone. The rules prevented internet service providers or “ISPs” such as Verizon or Comcast from charging consumers MORE money for BETTER quality service. They also kept these large corporations from being able to block certain sites which may be in competition with them or have opposing viewpoints i.e. Twitter, YouTube, Facebook etc.

So in simpler words.. the government is trying to tax one of the biggest sources of communication in the era… social media.
